Our Story
Therapy and Beyond was founded in 2021 by Occupational Therapist Simone Sant. Throughout her career Simone quickly discovered her passion for working with children and people with disabilities. Therapy and Beyond was created to provide specialised services for children with complex needs in Townsville and surrounding areas.
We believe in creating opportunities that allow our clients to live their most fulfilling lives. What began as a mobile service soon evolved into a clinic-based service, enabling us to maximise our capacity to support the Townsville community.
Our vision is to create a space where our clients (little stars) can be their true selves while learning to navigate daily activities and the world around them in the most positive and functional way. We aim to empower families through support and education, helping their children achieve their goals in all areas of life.
We are proud of the supportive, collaborative culture we’ve built for both families and our team. Our clinic is a place where therapists can grow, feel valued, and make a real difference. We feel privileged to be part of our little stars’ journeys and can’t wait to be part of yours too!

De’Arne

De’Arne brings warmth, creativity, and organisation to her role at Therapy and Beyond, supporting both the business and the families who come through its doors.
With a background in administration, communications, and creative content, De’Arne has worked across a variety of industries. This ranges from health and education to events and marketing. Her experience includes client care, HR, digital content creation, and project coordination, all of which contribute to keeping Therapy and Beyond running smoothly behind the scenes.
Originally from Tasmania, De’Arne now lives in Townsville with her husband and their son. De’Arne is passionate about creating calm, welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued which is an approach that fits perfectly within the heart of Therapy and Beyond.
