- Pre session telehealth call (expect 30 – 45 minutes) with an Occupational Therapist
- Revision of reports, referral information and your pre session questionnaires in preparation for your session
- Experienced Occupational Therapist for the face-to-face session (expect up to two hours)
- Summary report of our assessment and recommendations
- Post session telehealth call (expect 30 - 45 mins) with the Occupational Therapist
- Communication with other providers as needed

Our Services are under demand, and we know how painful waitlists can be, therefore we have developed a Start Up Session Package which aims to bridge the gap, giving you clear and practical support and tools whilst you wait for an ongoing therapy spot, or maybe this is all you need!
Therapy and Beyond provides engaging presentations and interactive workshops designed to support educators and childcare professionals working with children of all abilities.
Our sessions translate evidence-based Occupational Therapy knowledge into practical, real-world strategies that can be confidently used in classrooms and early learning environments. Topics may include emotional regulation, sensory processing, behaviour support, fine and gross motor development, attention, and inclusive practices.
Workshops are tailored to your setting and encourage collaboration, reflection, and hands-on learning. Our goal is to empower educators with tools that support children’s participation, wellbeing, and learning while recognising the demands of busy educational environments.

Connected Beginnings and Beyond
Learn MOre
Connected Beginnings and Beyond is an Occupational Therapist designed and led sensory program supporting babies and young children to explore, regulate, and connect through purposeful play!
Grounded in evidence each session offers carefully designed sensory experiences using movement, touch, sound, and visual play to support early development, sensory processing, and emotional regulation in a calm, nurturing environment. Activities are age-appropriate and responsive, allowing each child to engage at their own pace.
With a strong focus on connection, the program supports bonding between children and their caregivers while providing families with practical guidance to support development beyond the session.
We are more than a sensory class, Connected Beginnings and Beyond provides a supportive, inclusive space where strong foundations for development are built from the very beginning… and beyond!
We are able to offer telehealth services for those who live outside of the Townsville region who wish to access Occupational Therapy services.

Our Process
4. REPORTING
We maintain thorough documentation of our client’s progression throughout intervention and are able to provide reports specific to meeting the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We are also able to complete functional capacity assessment reporting for access to the NDIS.
3. Intervention
This is where our journey begins! We get to know your child to work out what works for them and implement their interests into our session to ensure that they are able to learn new skills all while having fun!
2. Assessment
We will complete assessments with your child to determine their skills and ability, we usually do this by engaging in play based activities . We are able to learn a lot by observing and engaging with your child through play!
1. Initial Appointment
During this appointment we will discuss any difficulties which your child may be having, find out about their strengths and interests, and discuss how we as Occupational Therapists can assist and inform you what intervention may look like for your child.
